sorry for my absence, been a little snowed under lately. I did post this recently but my battery died just as it was uploaded.
As normal use this thread to ask specific questions about shopping and the other thread for non related queries. As always, am open to suggestions about what to post.
Hope it helps - shopping is a pain in the backside for most of us (except admin who learned to ask for beer on his 1st day and never needed any more again - lol)

I here what you are saying there Snowfluke .... one thing in my limited experience I have found is that the farangs have a very limited knowledge of 'classifiers'.

Animals are 'tor'
Glasses are 'gaew'
Bottles are 'kuote'
People 'khun'
Vehicles 'kan'
and then pens, balls, pieces of paper are all totally different words etc etc

Classifier lesson next Mr. Sitapatra (or however you spell it) please?

And, by the way, what is the longest river in North America???
How do you spell it?

Thanks again for that Mr(?) SitapatrJay, thanks a bunch. Clap

Only another few centuries ansd someone here might understand me. I say to someone something and they don't understand. After 5 minutes of 'argueing' they repeat exactly the same thing and I finally get what i asked for! Hairpull

to be honest, i wouldn't ask "are you trying to rip me off" if you truely believe that just smile and say mai pben rai krab, then walk away. But if you want to test them a little you might say "lor len ruh pblow?" = are you joking with me? but do it with a smile.
