How about a picture of some basset hounds smoking pipes around the hearth? Actually, any pictures of dogs smoking pipes would add to the atmosphere.

Don't you think that he has enough animals in there to roam the place where he cooks? I feel sorry for the poor people with allergies... 
He should subscribe to Hounds and Horses, the famous English magazine...
