Nicest curry in Nakhon?
Last night we stopped by a little place for some food.
We've been there a few times (a while back), but ate noodle dishes etc.... last night I wanted a curry.
I ordered a chicken version of the curry (gaing ga-ree gai).
It was not a thick curry, but it was the nicest curry I've ever had here. Not just in Nakhon....... EVERY HAD in ALL of Thailand.
Why so nice???? to me, it tasted just like "Chip shop" curry back home. Great big bowl of the stuff they gave us too - so we were able to bring some home.
The curry contains nuts, potato, onions, peppers, and tomato...... and chicken of course.
I'll certainly be having more of that.
The place to purchase this fine dish? Its called "kru wa wang naa". It's just a little further down from "To Sit" (same side going from Kuw Kwang). Its directly opposite the petrol station.
Cost about 100 baht
All I need now is some cod in batter, proper chips (not these skinny "french fry" or "American fried" efforts)... REAL chips, and a portion of mushy peas.
Basically, a Nakhon version of Harry Ramsden.

Good advice. I'm a big fan of Gaeng Garee, I will check it out.
Does anyone know a place to get decent Massaman? I know some takeaway roadside places and Bang Bao (not really a proper Massaman for me), are there any other recommendations?
