Vanilla Restaurant

There is a new restaurant in town, well not exactly new but fairly new called Vanilla. Very clean, good food, not expensive and a nice ambience to the place ..... and they even sell beer too.

It is located behind Ocean, just a couple of doors away from Gather. Give it a try.
It gets the from me.

Tell them that you want the pizza well done, awsome (for Nakhon)...

The cake in there can rival any cake shop in Phuket or Bangkok. They have a high standard there. I am surprised that admin is not living there with his love for the cheesecake!

I'll back the Vanilla vote with one reservation: The pizzas are small! And it has nothing to do with my nationality...



They are tasty but a 10 - 12" pizza for 200B is not a deal.

Sure it might be a bit prizy, but it tastes much better than the rest. I can not finish the large one alone! (proven over several visits there).

The pizza's are just passable for me and my deep pockets and long arms!! I hope the have improved the service?? how much is the Leo??

Vanilla is tops. Good pizza, cheap beer, nice atmosphere and couches. It certainly makes the top 10 list. I think Leo is 55 baht.

I'll give it a go next time I'm in the 'naksat'.

I like it there... I spend a few hundred there last time I went there (Monday)... The pizza was very good and the service was great...

Can't complain there...

Brittania Tavern has a competitor there... AND they got cake!

The service is appaling in my estimation.....was there a week ago....ordered 2 cappuccinos....got one luke warm....tried to explain I had ordered TWO....idiot looked at me as if I was just ordering another one.....then ordered cheesecakes...got no cutlery....tried asking for cutlery and got so weeweed off trying to make myself heard I stuck my fingers into the cheesecake....message sent!!

We do have standards...if your's is the pretty manageress/mia noi of some twit then so be it....

I'd only go there for the comfy seats and possibility of wireless net which I really don't need..!!

Competition??? The Brittannia has no worries....make your own cakes Sean 'cos the ones around town are all delivered by the same company which services A n A, DD, Je, and Vanilla Dicey.

Vanilla does not get the cake from the same place as AA... Different cakes... I know, I like cakes... And I have asked...

I don't understand how everyone complain about the service in there...

I walk inn, sit down and a menu is presented, then I order and the food/cake is delivered with cutlery and all smiles...

I eat the food/cake and I am happy...

Never any problems with the service, but no so many people say the same so I start to wonder, if they just like me alot or what???

Most of you don't know good food if you fell it!! KFC, PIZZA HUT or COMPANY and the other junk isn't food.... expand you taste buds and then come and talk to me!!

Boon Rawd Brewery, I tried your food, some is good, but just because you don't like something does not mean it is not good. I give that KFC and Pizza hut/company is not real propper food, but then again, neither is what you are cooking... We try to make the food we like and enjoy eating, just because you make something your way does not mean everyone else is dumb and ignorant for not liking it!

I know what good food tastes like, and that isn't good by a long shot! I guess you never taste the food, just swallowed whole without touching the back of your neck

Well, I eat a bit slower than you I think,,, but then again, I have been here in NST for a long time and when you live in NST that is not so bad...

Guess your cooking is so good that you should have been a Chef... (doubt that)...

PS... I do cook at home every day, and the few people that I have let taste my food has not died of food poisioning...

Does that make the rest of us not worthy of your fine cuisine???

Nope, but I dont like to have many people come to eat my food... I am worried about your health... Don't blame me if you get sick...

Getting back onto the point...I guess I'll have to frequent Vanilla more often to avail of the superb ambience, service and delicacies on offer.

So Gillo, after what you said I think there might be something wrong there, but I have to say that my experience there has been good everytime I have stepped inside the door... Hot choc, was warm, pizza good, german hog was warm and good (stolen from Carrefour) and the cake has always been the best in NST!!!

But, if I get bad service I will post it here and then I will tell the owner...

PS... Just to be sure I will go there tonight tohave a pizza there, just to make sure that the standards are up to scratch...

Bear in mind tho Sanowdrake....I was not alone...my good wife, a teacher from Posadet and a tall Mark were also in my company at the time. The tall one's cheesecake also did not arrive and had to be reordered and also came with no cutlery which had to be requested again. It was a male waiter so just maybe he has been moved on to another department in the restaurant world of NST....

Guess not, there was a male waiter there a few days ago, he might have been new at that time but that is really no excuse... Feel sorry for the bad feeling you have over the place and I hope that it will in time change...

It is a nice place when you think of other options... Beer is cheap there too... (Almost as cheap as Brittania Tavern) but the cakes... That is why I keep going back there!

Maybe you should look at some of the posts that you have posted and then read that again!!! there are some boundaries and I will try to uphold them...

Some might slide but it all comes down to how well it is written.
