Crazy road signs
I was having a drive along highway 4 the other day and saw a sign for กลับรถ.... it said it was just 2km away if I did a loop back on myself.
As I've never been to this place, I thought I'd check it out, so at the next break in the carriageway, I turned the car around and went looking for กลับรถ.
I drove nearly 4km and saw no signs for the place. Another 2km further, another sign for กลับรถ........ telling me just 50 meters back in the direction I'd just come from.
After 3 hours of driving up and down the same road, I asked a local and he told me, "250 meters in the direction i was headed"....... No, nothing there!!
Anyway, I gave up and went on my way, past the sign Ihad originally seen. Just a short distance on there were more signs for กลับรถ. This time telling me to keep right, then more signs telling me 1km, 2km, 3km and so on.
I ended up in Phuket and still never found กลับรถ.
Anyone know this town? Anyone ever been there?
I figure it must be a place of significant interest as there are so many signs for the place between here and Phuket.

Re: Crazy road signs
You must of missed a few to end up in Phuket!
It would send me in circles, enough to drive me round the bend!

Thanks Admin, good to see someone on my wavelength!
I thought of it on the way to Phuket last week so cracked it on the wife......... she thought I was just plain stupid.
I did see some comical bad translations while over there, including one on a building site that read "Softy Fist" (Safety First)
Should start a thread of crazy notices here.

Well, heres another one that came to mind........ having finished shopping at Big C, Jungceylon, Patong, we headed for the car park (downstairs).
On the way, I saw 2 signs that read "Lift"........ damn trick, they were both screwed tight to the wall!
