you have me confused here sir,
one post you are a student, another post you travel for work around the world...
You dont care about roamong costs but you want something cheap???
Anyways... What i would suggest is that when you travel to a new country you buy a pre-paid card... Problem if you really need your number for any reason (ask your loca. Phone opertor) they should be able to tell you...
If not, try www.thaivisa.com (many expats there to help you)
if i travel i like to visit the travel agency (like the friendly girls) but I guess the cheapest way to travel is to book over the net, since you can find many new deals out there...
