Greetings!
Hello,
I've been reading the forum for a few months now, and finally decided to register.
I have lived in NST for the better part of the year, and am located about 20 minutes from Amphur Muang.
Looking forward to continued reading, and posting more.

Thanks.
In part because I thought it would be a useful resource. I've only lived here for a short time, and have many questions.

Dying to know, huh?
I'm sensing a bit of an attitude, but OK.
1. Where can I get a relatively inexpensive frame for a picture that is 30" x 50"?
2. Are they any language schools in NST that specialize in the Southern dialect?
3. Do the local cinemas EVER show English soundtrack movies?
4. Can anyone recommend a good dentist?
5. Is it worthwhile to make requests at Tesco or Tops for certain items to be stocked?
Why don't we start with those, and I'll start a new thread for any other questions that I might have in the future.

I "fired away" three days ago, and you haven't responded.
I can only hope the anticipation regarding the posting of my questions didn't cause your untimely demise.

Re: Greetings!
sorry, been very busy with an English camp where some handicapped people joined inn... Here goes...
1. If you want the cheap, try third floor at robinson ocean... They might have them... Or maybe the frame/picture shop outside tescos... They had alot over there last time i checked... (two months ago)
2. Dont know about any language schools for foreigners in Nakhon Sri Thammarat. (please post if you can find one/ skio the whole southern dialect)
3. The last movie that was in Englis as I know was Terminator 3! Forgot what year it was, but sure a long time. They do however show somw international Thai movies with English subtitles...
4. As I have told several other members on this forum...
Traveling from robinson ocean, pass the large intersection called Kukwang. Turn left at the junction with the lights shop. Pass the tiny hotel on your right hand, nok air is on your left... About 30m after that on your right hand side is a good dentist...
5. Whilst I admire your thoughts, you might want to live somewhere else if you really need something western that they do not have there... you could also ask Gold Member to buy something for you, he is very kind that way...
Hope that helped you... Good luck!

Even tho i no longer live there i will put my 2cents in:
1: i don't know but snowy does!
2: often a thai wife of a farang would help you speak like a local or a thai teacher where you work or even a student or a students parent
3: i always went to Hat Yai if I wanted to watch a movie in English
4: snowy has the right dentist....good work and cheap too! (the work he did is still good and i left there 4 years ago!)
5: make a list of what western things you want and then make plans to go to bbk or hat yai or some other more westernized city and buy all you need for a few months
There ya go...a female's answers
Good luck!
