I occasioally drive down to the "Big Sombrero" for a change of scenery. Can anyone recommend any good foreign restaurants? Can you buy a pizza other than usual chain company shite? Are the cinema's of a similar standard to Bangkok?

Cinemas are NOT to the same standard as the 'Kok! Apparently they no longer show films in English at Lee Garden. There is a theater showing them, but I'm not sure where.

No idea about good pizza... sorry.

Yeah there was one cinema showing English films. I think it's called Haang Diana, a short tuk-tuk ride from Lea Gardens but they only seemed to be showing one English film at a time.
They do have Sizzler there, though. The Big Sombrero (Hat Yai). 65521

I guess that the place they show them would be at "Odean" shopping complex...

It is not too far away from Lee Garden... I could take you there if I was there but I don't know the way well enough to explain it..

Google it...

Lee Garden shows some movies in English, but it is right, they have limited it to a certain amount of shows..

Food, I like Sizzler the most... Good Value for money... but then again, that is the company crap you did not want...

Get closer to Sonkhla, there they have more foreign food... small restaurants... (kinda like Seans)
