is there a way in this madness to add an image to a post?
could do it easy on the old site, cant see a button to do it on here..... only to link to a picture on another site.

On top of where you type the reply you have several little icons with pictures on them... The 6th icon from the left is the one you have to click on... It is a picture with a disk on top of it! then a little box will pop up and you can "browse" for your picture on your computer, then clik ok... You also have to click "Host it" and after 1-3 sec's there will be a new box poping up... You have to copy the middle line and paste it into your message, then click on the icon of the picture/disk again and the box will dissapear... you should now get a picture in your post...
(hope that made it easier!)

thanks snowy,

something is amiss cos everytime I click it I just get a popup with page can not be displayed.

maybe I'll try a different browser and see if that helps.

For the geeky types in here, it appears this 3rd part add-on uses ftp to upload the file, so you need to ensure that the port is open usually port 21.
I have most ports here blocked to stop people jamming up our network with torrents.
