Do you know the Sabai restaurant & pub in Khanom Town?

I didn't knew it until recently...but I can for sure recommend it!!

The owner is a German national named Jochen.
He has been in the trade for a long time.
First time I met him he had a restaurant at the beach but later located to the town, and I didn't know about it until I accidentially saw his sign at the street announcing: Cheese Burgers Take Away.

So I went in and ordered a Cheese Burger.

This is the best cheese burger I have tasted in Thailand!
Forget McDonald and Burger King.
This is the genuine home made burger with home baked buns!!

Price was only 90 baht, not included fries but for the burger only.
I found it was worth every satang!!
It was fresh and tasty!

Next time I visited I ordered Wiener Schnitzel with salad and french fries.
This was also an excellent meal!
The schnitzel was genuine butter pan fried and not the usual oil deep fried stuff.

Jochen also serves many other things like Hungarian Beef Goulash which is also amongst my favorites.

He bakes his own bread and buns and also creates his own german and italian style sausages and liver sausages to take away.

You can call him at 087 263 2738. He speaks English and German.
I can guarantee it is worth the trip German/North European Food/Best burger in this location!! 281481

Met Jochen a couple of years ago at the Norwegian bar that used to be more or less next door to Khula Bhula, both of which have since closed down. Anyway, he was there and having a couple of beers and told me about the place but unfortunately I have never really had time to go. Maybe, after your thumbs up I might make a trip up there to see.

Thanks

The Norwegian bar next to Khula Bhula is not closed down, it has just changed name to Dolphin Bar and is still in business.

The Norwegian owner died so his wife changed the name and took over....but well I guess she managed the bar anyway already :-)

Not wanting to speak ill about the dead... I will keep quiet...

I hope his wife is doing good and enjoy her life...

It was called the Dolphin Bar before T had his 'accident'. Last time I drove past it looked closed, obviously not.

Thank you for that.
