Hello there!
Hi,
My name's John, 30, I hope to be moving to or around NST ASAP. I am in UK at the moment. It sounds like a cliche, I visited NST recently and now I want to escape and teach English there, but I hope it's not going to end in tears! I have a wonderful woman there to assist me so should be easier than usual...
Just saying hi, catch you later!
John.

Re: Hello there!
Hi John - and welcome to the forum too!
Just a word of caution, NST, or Thailand is not all a bed of roses. I notice you are 30, still fairly young. I'd do a bit of research first regarding working, schools etc before coming over and very importantly, don't burn any bridges in the UK as once the reality of living here sets in, some people realize it's not for them.
Anyway, feel free to ask any questions and I'm sure someone will answer them for you.

Re: Hello there!
Thanks for the advice, believe me I have some doubts/concerns/panic attacks about doing this! I don't intend on going until I have secured employment there anyway, but I don't really have any roots and I intend to marry my girl in NST so I guess it's what I'm going for. Thanks for the greetings!

Re: Hello there!
You be from Bristol then? How's the weather?
It would probably be a better idea to try and get your job here rather than from the UK. You'd be able to 'survey' things better if you know what I mean. Best times for looking for work are Sept/Oct and even better when there are usually more vacancies, March/April as the academic year starts in May.
ps: The Nakhon gals are the best!

Well actually at the moment I live in Taunton, but have lived in Brizzle recently. Weather, of course, is rubbish...

Re: Hello there!
Snowflake I don't want to be picky about typos but a common error that I see you often making is the use of 'to' and 'too' please refer to this for more help:
