McDonalds hits town
McDonalds finally opened this week after years of speculation regarding it coming here. Good or bad, I am still undecided. It has without doubt changed the skyline of the city with the huge yellow arches pretty much visible the whole length of that road.
What are your thoughts?

Re: McDonalds hits town
Went in there the other night; chaos in the ordering and serving dept, but nice place. Be interesting to see how far up the flood line they have built it, although it looks quite well raised to me............ shame nobody will be able to get there when the road floods again.
The rest of the project looks like its going snails pace in comparrison - hope its not a doomed project.
Not sure if the same applies here as I got some very strange looks. . . . in UK, it is custom to take your tray to one of the many bins, dump the empy food containers and leftover food, then place the empty tray on top of the bin. I think either the message hasn't got through yet, or its a task that is seen as below most people here. The missus wondered what the hell I was doing, and the loacls gave me some right wierd looks when I cleared away MY rubbish.
BTW Admin, maybe an extra space or two is needed in the title as I read is as McDonald passing a town via a bodily function!

Re: McDonalds hits town
Was there the other night and got the wife to ask how Mc's had trained their staff on this. Reply was to just leave it on the table, mai bpen rai.
Thinking about it, I think the UK has it wrong, we aint paid to clear the tables afterall.

Re: McDonalds hits town
its call fast and cheap food in the uk,, so someone has to something to keep the prices down .. plus people in the uk will soon complain to he person or persons to clean their rubbish when they leave.. that system does not work here, becaue they always drop it as they go. so Mcd is trying to kep to euro standards .. i think!!!! well i hope thats why
